While the Sottezza Pure and Originale awnings share the same frame system and tensioning mechanism, the key difference lies in how the fabric is guided and tensioned.
Stretch System – Flexible & Adjustable
- Fabric is tensioned between the roller tube and the front profile.
- Leaves a gap of up to 25 mm between the fabric and support channel.
- In larger constructions, fabric sagging of up to 15 cm may occur.
- Distance ropes can be used to minimise sagging, with quantity adjusted based on projection.
- Acrylic and polyester fabrics allow for slight stretching of the fabric’s side edges.
OptiStretch System – Fully Enclosed & Perfectly Taut
- Features a PVC fabric guide profile within the support channel for optimal four-way tensioning.
- Completely eliminates side gaps for a fully enclosed system.
- Ensures even fabric tensioning on all sides, preventing sagging.
- Provides superior rolling properties, ensuring smooth extension and retraction compared to the Stretch system.
For larger installations or those requiring a completely closed, precision-tensioned fabric, the OptiStretch system is the ideal choice. For a flexible and adaptable setup, the Stretch system offers a reliable solution with optional support adjustments.

Cabling Options | Single + Multi-Section Units
Single Units – The Hirschmann coupling with cable is securely fastened to the rear of the cassette using standard cable clips.
Multi-Section Units – Cables can be optionally secured with clips spaced approximately 700 mm apart for a neat and structured installation.
The power cable runs along the awning, connecting to the power line on the right side for a clean and efficient setup.
Easy Access for Maintenance
- Once installed, the cassette’s bottom panel opens, allowing verification of rope alignment around the pulley block.
- A belt strap holds the cassette open for easier adjustments.
- The faceplate can be unclamped, providing direct access to the receiver or power supply pack for servicing when needed.
